Lebanese Othmaliye Cups with Pistachios and Rose Petals

Ingredients

 

1 pack Sev noodles (Katiafi) dough

3/4 cup ghee or unsalted butter

1/4 cup sugar

 

Ashta – Cream

2 cups whipping cream

2 cups milk

1/3 cup sugar

5 tbsp corn starch

1 tsp rose water

1 tsp orange blossom water

 

Simple syrup

2 cups sugar

1 cup water

2tsp lemon juice

1 tsp orange blossom water

 

 

Slice up the dry noodles.

Place on a cookie sheet with ghee or unsalted butter.  Mix throughly.

Add sugar and Bake at 350 for 20 minutes until golden brown

Add whipping cream, milk, and sugar to a bowl and mix.  Add rose water and orange blossom water.  Add corn flour to milk, mix and then add to the hot mixture to thicken.

Pour mixture into 4 martini glasses.  Let the ashta (cream) cool down before adding the topping.

Garnish with pistachios and rose petals.
