Hiya! I’m Sindia.
Thank you for taking the time to check out my blog. I have wanted to write this for such a long time, but have also been on the move, in fact, my IG name is sinonthego. However, this global pandemic has forced us all to slow down, to take stock of what’s truly important.
Prior the C-19, I have travelled to over 60 countries, taken cooking classes, cultural , and art tours . I visited popular destinations such as St. Barts, Ibiza, St. Tropez, and festivals such as Art Basel Burning Man, Ultra and many more! I hit up every continent except Antarctica! I also travelled to less well known destinations including watching a bat migration in the caves on Borneo in Brunei.
I love food and travel as it connects me to the place and its people. Its a fantastic bonding opportunity to come together to understand and enjoy each other. I created a list of places I wanted to visit, places, I had heard off, of knew people when to, or even certain rituals or migrations occur there. Slowly, I began checking off my list of experiences and inadvertently found off the beaten path adventures. Travelling, broaden my horizons, I made some wonderful travels and collected stories and memories to recount. I love to experience the culture of a new place through its food, history beauty rituals, and its people.
Having an eye for design, I love aesthetics, how a meal is presented, home decor, fashion, fabrics, style, jewellery, growing plants in my garden and testing new products.
Due to C-19 , I have had the time to work in the garden, grow plants from vegetable scraps, compost, recycle, eat healthy, get creative with working out and read a lot.
So, I was inspired to finally launch this blog, to share my experiences as they may resonate with others. This global pandemic is a challenging time, but it’s how we deal with these times that define us.
I’d like to think of it as a great opportunity to work on our passion projects and build our knowledge, pursue our dreams and share with others while build a community of like-minded people. This blog is intended to inspire, help and guide kindred spirits, as many has done the same for me. Would love to hear from you and wish you all a happy, safe, thriving, memory filled year!
Love and Light,
