This is by far, one of my favorites dishes, I mean who doesn’t love pizza! It has a creamy taste and a crunchy light base, since its made from cauliflower. You can decorate it as you wish, but I like to include atypical flavors as pomegrante, nutritional yeast, avocado and more!
Ingredients:
one head of cauliflower (or use frozen cauliflower rice)
ground flax seeds
water
3 tbsp Hummus (garlic based is my preference)
handful of braised spinach in a clove of garlic
braised mushrooms
one avocado
sliced olives
oregano
fresh mint leaves
pomegranate seeds
nutritional yeast, with crushed pine nuts
sumac
anything you wish!
Process the cauliflower in a food processor.
Add water to the flax powder let it sit for 10 mins.
Blot water from the processed cauliflower using a tea towel.
Combine with flax mixture and form a base.
Bake in oven for 10 minutes at 425 degrees or until crispy and brown at edges.
Meanwhile, braised the spinach and mushrooms with garlic and oil separately.
Turn the pizza base over and pour on the hummus, Spread it thickly and then the braised spinach, then peppers, olives, mushrooms or anything else you wish. Finally, add the avocado slices and add the powdered spices. After you bake it for another 10 mins, add fresh mint leaves and oregano if you have have it! It is truly a different taste, I call it a global bite, with avocado and pomegrante with a base of hummus! I also season with nutritional yeast and sumac!
