Ingredients
Creme Brulee
2/3 cup full-fat coconut milk (from can)
1/3 cup water
3 tbsp of honey or maple syrup or coconut sugar
1 1/2 organic cornstarch
1/2 tsp orange zest
1/2 tsp ground cardamom
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp nutritional yeast
pinch of black salt
pinch of turmeric for color
Candied Blood Orange
4 1/8 ” thick orange slices
2 tbsp of coconut sugar
1/3 cup water
8 mint leaves
Extra sugar for caramelizing
Directions:
Blend ingredients for creme Brûlée and carefully add to ramekins
Place ramekins in a baking tray with water
Bake in oven at 350 for 15-20 until firm to touch
Allow to completely cool, before adding sugar on top to caramelize
Meanwhile caramelize the oranges with sugar and torch
Add saffron and or caramelized oranges to the creme brûlée
